Te Mana Hauora O Te Tairawhiti
Hauora Tairawhiti produces a number of policies to guide us. These include:
Hauora Tairāwhiti has implemented a policy that clarifies the exceptional circumstances under which we will permit payment of family members residing at the same address as a DHB-funded client for provision of long-term home based support services. Click here to read the most recent policy.
Prior to May 2014, family members living at the same address have been excluded from being paid to deliver allocated services. This policy does not change existing eligibility and access for DHB-funded long-term home based support services.
The policy aims to satisfy part 4A of the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000 amendment (2013); you can read the background documents on the Ministry of Health website by clicking here.
For further information and /or enquiries contact Hauora Tairāwhiti Needs Assessment Service Coordination (NASC) 06 869 2090 or Planning and Funding 06 869 2095.
The Child Abuse and Neglect Policy 2016 (PDF 478KB) provides Hauora Tairawhiti community and hospital-based staff with a framework to identify and manage actual and/or suspected child abuse and neglect. It recognises the important role and responsibility staff have in the accurate detection of suspected child abuse and/or neglect, and the early recognition of children at risk of abuse and adults at risk of abusing children.
This Delegations Policy is the intentions-based document outlining how the Hauora Tairawhiti Board intends to exercise its power of delegation, and the reasons for doing so. It sets out the process the Board will undertake when delegating any of its powers or performing any of its functions. This policy also covers the criteria the Board will use in that process.
