NAMOT Achievement Awards 2017

 

What is NAMOT?
Nurses and Midwives of Tairāwhiti (NAMOT) is a local group, formed in 2016. NAMOT is a group of past and present Nurses and Midwives, who have joined forces to celebrate achievements, and share memories and education through a number of networking events.
NAMOT Achievement Awards 
Last year, the group held the first NAMOT Achievement Awards event. Over XX Nurses, Midwives and whanāu attend to celebrate and commemorate achievements from the past 12 months.
This year's NAMOT Achievement Awards Evening will be held on XX. Throughout the event, XX awards will be given out to deserving recipients from around the district.
How do you nominate?
Do you know a Nurse or Midwife who deserves to be recognised for their amazing work? 
A peer/colleague may nominate a person for this award and they must complete the award nomination template describing how the person meets the criteria for the nominated award. 
Nominations close Friday 17th March 2017 and should be sent to Jane Wilkie Secretary NAMOT Group C/O Nursing and Quality Services. Click on the below forms to find out more.
 
The winner of each category will be decided by representatives of the award sponsor and the NAMOT committee. 
Award Categories
Director of Nursing and Midwifery New Graduate Award
This award recognizes high achievement in the first year of practice by either a new graduate midwife or nurse.
Services to Nursing Services to Midwifery Award
The award for these two categories recognises the achievements of an individual nurse or midwife who has engaged and influenced nursing or midwifery practice within the wider service, organisation or profession. 
Services to Maori Nursing Award & Services to Maori Midwifery Award
The award for these two categories recognises the achievements of an individual Maori nurse or midwife working in primary or secondary care.
EIT Support for Undergraduate Nurses (Individual and Team)
These two awards recognise the achievements of an individual nurse or workplace that provides
Innovation / Patient Safety Award
The award for a nursing or midwifery TEAM/INDIVIDUAL that demonstrates excellence of service delivery/innovation and patient safety. 
Hollamby Family Excellence in Clinical Practice Award
The award for a “hands on” nurse recognised by their peers for their excellent clinical abilities. 
General Practice/Primary Care Nursing Award
The award for an outstanding practice nurse that can demonstrate excellence in Clinical Practice in a Tairawhiti general practice or primary care setting.

This year's NAMOT Achievement Awards Evening will be held on Saturday 6th May 2017. Throughout the event, 10 awards will be given out to deserving recipients from around the district.
