Where can I find out about job opportunities at Hauora Tairawhiti?

All of our vacancies are advertised on the “Join our Team” page of our website and we encourage you to visit regularly to keep up to date with vacancies as they are placed.  Please take time to profile yourself and this will allow you to register to receive automatic email notification when suitable vacancies became available.

How do I apply for a job with Hauora Tairawhiti?

You can apply online by viewing the position you are interested in and clicking on the “Apply Online” button at the bottom of the advertisement.

This will bring you into a login page where you can enter your profile details, and you will need to attach a current curriculum vitae to your application which outlines your relevant work experience, educational information and personal achievements. We may request evidence of your skills and experience. You may also choose to attach a separate cover letter. The on-line form contains a series of pre-screening questions. The questions marked with an asterisk ( * ) are necessary and must be completed prior to submission.

Please let us know if you experience any difficulties with submitting your application online. We are here to support you through the process and want your experience to be as smooth as possible.

Although we strive to choose candidates for interview as quickly as possible, sometimes the process may take a couple of weeks. If you have not received a response as to the status of your application within two weeks of the closing date, you are welcome to contact us.

Is it possible to apply for a multiple positions at the same time?

Yes, you may apply for any position you feel you qualified for. Most of the details required for the application form will be populated from the profile that you have already created, but there may also be specific pre-screening questions relevant to the different positions.

After I have emailed you my application, should I send you a hard copy of my resumé?

No. Our online application process is highly effective, therefore you do not have to send us a hard copy of your resume, unless we ask you to. Once you have completed all steps in the submission process you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application. If you do not receive this email, then please contact the Recruitment Service so that we can ensure your application has been received.

How would I know the progress of my online/offline application?

You will be sent notification by email or mail as to the outcome of the shortlisting process. If you are selected for interview the recruiting manager will contact you to arrange the time and place.

Is it possible for a new graduate to apply for a job at Hauora Tairawhiti?

I no longer want to be considered for a role I applied for. What do I do?

Please log in to the vacancies site, sign into your profile and under ‘My Job Cart’ you will be able to withdraw your application.

I accidently withdrew my application. How do I reapply?

Don’t panic. Providing the advertisement is still open, just click the ‘apply’ button and you will be taken through the application process again.  If you accidentally withdraw your application after the advertising period has closed you will need to contact Human Resources on 06 869 0500 ext 8268, or email jobs@tdh.org.nz to re-activate your application.

I received an email saying my application is incomplete. What do I do?

If you start and do not finish an application, our system will notify you in case you have unintentionally exited the application process.  If you do not wish to complete your application then you can ignore the email, however if you would like to continue please log into your profile before the closing date, click on ‘My Job Cart’ and complete your application. If the closing date has passed, call Human Resources immediately on 06 869 0500 ext 8268 or email: jobs@tdh.org.nz

I’ve uploaded the wrong document. What do I do?

You can make changes to your application up until the point where you click ‘Submit’ and can make changes to your application up until the closing date.  If you need to make a change after this point, please contact Human Resources on 06 869 0500 ext 8268 or email: jobs@tdh.org.nz

Do you accept paper applications?

No. All applicants must apply online. There are several reasons for this:

 •It ensures your application doesn’t get lost or sent to the wrong person

 •You are linked directly to the job you are applying for and immediately visible to the Recruiter managing the role

 •Some roles have specific questions which are completed via our online application form

Can I drop off my CV to you or come in and have a chat about future opportunities?

No. All applicants must apply online.  The Human Resources Team are often in scheduled appointments and may not be available if you drop in.  By creating an online profile you will be notified of any vacancies that meet the areas of interest you have selected.

I have a shared email address with my family – can we have one profile to apply for jobs for all of us?

No. We require an individual email addresses for each applicant as a unique identifier. Also, the answers to the application question will vary for each of you.  You can set up a free email address via services such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo etc.

Is it possible for me to send a Hauora Tairawhiti job to a friend?

Yes. As you view the job opportunity, if you scroll below that page, you will see a button that will permit you to email the job details to a friend. Follow the instructions on screen and within seconds, that particular job opportunity will be sent to your friend. Even better, get your friend to profile themselves with Hauora Tairawhiti and they, too, can be notified of suitable vacancies as they are advertised.
